Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the governing New Patriotic Party`s Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, has stated fellow flag bearer aspirant Alan Kyerematen is deserving of the slot by reason of his toils for the party.
Mr Agyapong informed Sompa FM in the Kumasi town that Mr Kyerematen has paid his dues to the party and, thus, merits to be the flag bearer.
In is view, if human beings are arguing that Dr Bawumia merits to be the flag bearer due to the fact he has been the vice president for 2 terms, then Mr Kyerematen is even greater deserving of that privilege.
“Yes, if Alan says it`s his turn, he merits it due to the fact he has been in the trenches with the party from its inception because the President of the Young Executives Forum (YEF) which changed into the monetary wing of the NPP in the early days”, Mr Agyapong noted.
He wondered: “Where have been these types of small boys who’ve been insulting Alan, while he was in the trenches fighting for the NPP”.
