She owes me GH¢5,000 – Police inspector who murder lover testified in court
A police inspector who killed his girlfriend in Adum, Kumasi, has given the court the reason for his actions. According to him, the woman owed him GH¢5,000, which she allegedly refused to pay her.
An emotional Ahmed Twumasi said in court on Tuesday 25 April that he would not kill his loved ones. An investigator was charged with murder on Thursday, April 20, 2023 after shooting his girlfriend multiple times.
It was also reported that he used a service pistol to commit mean acts against 26-year-old Victoria Dapaa, also known as Maadwoa. At a hearing in Asokore District Court, Mampong Insp. Ahmed Twumasi said God only knows what happened on the day of the incident.
Sources said the deceased’s relatives were separated from the court when prosecutors read the case details of the shooting. Some of them threatened to molest the suspect, who was taken away by guards after a day’s trial.
