Canadian money launderer denies allegation of gold smuggling deals in Zimbabwe and Ghana

Legal Counsel to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Kow Essuman, has rejected claims that the President is aware of a self-acclaimer “Financial Architect” Alistair Mathias captured in a latest documentary by Aljazeera.

Aljazeera, in a four-element investigative documentary series, exposed damning proof of gold smuggling and cash laundering syndicates in Zimbabwe, with Ghana implicated.

Undercover reporters posing as Chinese gangsters engaged Alistair Mathias, a self-acclaimer “Financial Architect” who has a record of effectively orchestrating such syndicates.

Mathias stated that he had done comparable schemes in Ghana and claimed to be appropriate buddies with its President, whom he additionally stated was once his attorney.

Reacting to this comment, the Legal Counsel to President Akufo-Addo defined Mathias` allegation as spurious calling on Ghanaians to disregard it.

According to him, the President has not been practicing since 2000 and his attorney has by no means acted as Mathias` counsel.

“The President has not been practicing since now 2000, neither has the President nor his law firm, Akufo-Addo, Prempeh and Co, acted as attorney for this Alistair Mathias or Guldrest. The President does not know this Mathias or Guldrest. Ignore the spurious allegations,” Ekow Essuman wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has denied any recollection of performing as a attorney for Mathias or his company, at the same time as Mathias himself has denied ever being given any contract by the Ghanaian government or stepping into any government contracts in any African country.
